WHAT YOU GET:
Nice selection of items from various Hispanic locations. The menu states what country or region the entrees originate from like Mexico, Spain, Guatemala, Cuba, etc. Just in case you were wondering. You can get your basic tacos and quesadillas, or be more adventurous and try something you can’t pronounce. You know, when you order, you just point the menu and tell the waitress “I’ll have that” instead of sounding like an idiot. It’s much easier at most Mexican restaurants when you can order Combo #7.
Fairly small place with brightly colored Hispanic decorations. Of course I have to mention the Mexican version of the complementary bread and butter…..chips and salsa. They make their salsa fresh in chunky pico de gallo style. Very good, but heavy on the onions. The tortilla chips are pretty standard.
Cerdo en Chile Verde – Slow Cooked Pork with Tomatillo, Cactus, Serrano Peppers, and Oregano over White Rice
Amazing! How delicious! Tender pork and just the right amount of heat. I was leery of the cactus. You can’t help but have a mental image of a prickly plant on your plate. It was really tasty, similar to green peppers.
WHAT OTHERS ORDERED….
Chicken Soft Tacos (WARNING: Chicken is bland)
COME HUNGRY…..LEAVE WITH ONION BREATH.
