WHAT YOU GET:
A large menu of meaty smokehouse and creole style options. A fun atmosphere decorated right now for Mardi Gras. A spacious atmosphere, there are like 3 levels or something. A stage for live music.
The portions are ginormous, we split both plates and only ate half. Which is awesome cause that means supper was taken care of. Our waitress was attentive and chatted to the babe. The decorations were so abundant that we had something interesting to look at around each corner during our wait. We totally went down the smokehouse route but next time I want to go down the Creole/Cajun route….They have Voodoo things!!!
Daily Special – Creole meatloaf made with andouille sausage topped with bacon and provolone on French bread.
Fabulous – It was so good I’m going to have to go back. This meatloaf was made with andouille sausage and creole spices, had a crab cake texture and was sooo good. Given the choice between this sandwich and any other on the menu, it would be a tough decision…
BBQ Sampler – 1/4 slab ribs, 1/4 BBQ chicken and pulled pork with corn souffle
Fabulous – I have to apologize for the missing ribs and the half eaten corn souffle. Sometimes J.J. and I forget that photos need to be taken. If that is any indication of how good it looked. The corn souffle was sweet with a nice crispy outer layer. The meats smoked and barbecued to perfection, the ribs solid, the chicken moist, the pulled pork good.
Pralines and Cream – vanilla ice cream served with homemade pecan pralines and then topped with a cinnamon caramel sauce.
Fabulous – J.J. says these were insane. He loved them, I did too. I could eat these alone no need for ice cream.
Look at this. They even make the to-go container fun.
COME HUNGRY…..LEAVE SUPER DUPER FULL AND HIGH ON MEAT FUMES
