The lunch line is pretty long in this little joint. Be prepared to stand a wait for a table, but don’t be alarmed, it’s worth the wait and fear that you might have to stand and eat. Check out the chalkboard menu, order at the counter, and patiently wait for a seat….then have your food delivered with a smile. If you boss allows, get you a beer before heading back to your cubicle.
WHAT YOU GET:
Pre-planned or build your own calzones with a dipping sauce on the side (hence the clever moniker) and salads. The recommended side sauces are carefully chosen like a fine wine pairing. From now on, all calzones we eat will be compared to these bad boys. We’ve never eaten such perfectly toasted calzone crust – not crunchy and not too doughy. The artful combos of the pocket fillings are tastefully seasoned and combined.
Roasty Toasty – Pesto Pulled Chicken, Arugula, Red Onion, Toasted Pine Nuts, Mozzarella, Ricotta
Fabulous – Perfect ratios, perfect flavors. A calzone flavor I have never tried before. I recommend!
Amazing! A little heavy on the onions, but overall, I loved the ingredient combo. The roasted garlic nuggets were a nice tasteful surprise.
Garden – Eggplant, Baby Spinach, Zucchini, Roasted Garlic, Onions, Snap Peas, Mozzarella, Ricotta plus Pepperoni
Flawless – I’m giving them the big one here. There is no better way to incorporate veggies in your diet than sticking them in a pizza pocket. The sauce to calzone ratio is the best I’ve ever had.
Amazing! The fact that the veggies were marinated or something before entering the crust……genius! Nom, nom, nom.
