WHO:

Ashley & Michelle

WHERE:

The Loop

WHEN:

Lunch

 THE EXPERIENCE:

An arcade, a comic book store, a pawn shop and a taxidermist’s show room all walk into a bar…….called Blueberry Hill.  There are so many random trinkets to look at that your mind starts to wander and you forgot to talk to your lunch date.   When the waitor comes to take your order you won’t be prepared….so be prepared.  In this huge joint, you can come for lunch, a concert, to throw darts, happy hour, late night cocktails, or all of the above.  Overall, you can’t NOT have fun in here.

WHAT YOU GET:

Bar and grilled up food from burgers and sandwhiches to soups and salads. You can majorly get your appetizer fix! Plus breakfast is served all day. No matter what degree of intoxication you may be from tipsy to hung over, your cravings will be satisfied.

Cheddar Cheese Balls

Ashley’s Rating:

Fabulous – Nuggets of deep fried yummy goodness. *Disclaimer….I can guarantee you that no fried cheese product in St. Louis is gonna hold a candle to the fried cheese from Wisconsin.

Michelle’s Rating:

Amazing – My standards are a little lower on fried chese. If it’s warm and gooey on the inside and crunchy on the outside, it’s wonderful!

Jerk Chicken Breast Sandwich

Ashley’s Rating:

Fine – It was good. Just your average jerked up chicken with cheese.

Michelle’s Rating:

Alright – Not super memorable. The seasoning was good, but the chicken was a little dry. And the Ruffles….boring!

Pulled Pork

Ashley’s Rating:

Fine – A good, solid pulled pork, tasty, but it didn’t make me leave with a giant smile on my face like a cheese curd can.

Michelle’s Rating:

Alright – Typical pulled pork. Yummy and tender, but nothing to make it stand out from the others I’ve had.

  1. For me, that place is all about three things:

    1) the atmosphere
    2) Joe Edwards, the pony-tailed guy who owns like half of The Loop
    3) scoop o’ cheddar, scoop o’ cheddar, scoop o’ cheddar
