 THE EXPERIENCE:

Well, it was like a ghost town when I visited. I hope it’s usually more crowded other days, because they have a good thing going here. It’s a cool atmosphere inside, really, with bright-colored walls, fun seating areas, and Tex-Mex decor……hence the long horns and string of chili pepper lights.  I can see this place livening up when the sun goes down.

WHAT YOU GET:

Now this is how you do Tex-Mex…a little bit of Tex, that’s the smoked meat, and a lot of Mex, that’s the tacos, queso, and stuff. It’s a comprehensive selection without being an overwhelmingly large menu. I don’t know about you, but when I have a list of 150 ways you can combo tacos, burritos, tamales, etc, my head starts to spin.

Chips, Salsa, and Queso

Michelle’s Rating:

Amazing! You can usually get a good feeling for a mexican restaurant by their chips and salsa. Their super crunchy chips are a little thicker (restaurant style), salsa is chunky and sweet, and the homemade queso dip is savory perfection.

Grilled Beef Brisket Flautas with Queso

Michelle’s Rating:

Amazing! Who would’ve thought the marriage of smoked meat and queso would be a fantastic idea?! These guys, apparently! The meat is super tender and lean and the creamy queso is so complimentary! The rice and beans are meer garnishes for this dish.

WHAT OTHERS ORDERED:

Ground Beef Nachos

Smoked Brisket (with all the fixin’s)

Chicken Fajita

Fish Tacos (only complaint is not enough fish)

COME HUNGRY….LOVE THE NEW MEXICAN EATING EXPERIENCE
