U City Loop
Small location in the strip with cutesy, modern decor. Place your order at the counter from the simple menu of 2 sizes of macaroni skillets, salads, simple desserts, and beers on tap. Next, pick an open table if you can find one ’cause it gets pretty crowded.
WHAT YOU GET:
If you are in the mood for a quick, satisfying home cooked dish, then this skillet of cheesy goodness is for you. It’s not your average mac ‘n cheese. They have palette pleasing combos such as buffalo chicken, pesto, artichoke and olives, garlic and onions, as well as an array of cheese varieties from Cheddar to Gruyere to Goat Cheese. Definitely accept their offer of sprinkled bread crumb topping before they pop the skillet in the oven. This ain’t your average easy mac from a box!
Fair – I was expecting at least some butter or some garlic or parmesan topped bread sticks. This was really upsetting. Nothing special here, folks.
Alright. Also disappointed with these bland, wrinkly, reheated dough sticks. They are very soft though.
Philly Cheese, Chicken Scampi, and Spinach Artichoke
Fine. A very good demonstration of a cheese and noodle marriage. Each of these skillets had its own personality. I feel that from the representation here, you can pick anything and you’ll be happy.
Awesome. I’ve tried several different dishes here and they are all equally delicious. You are basically getting mac ‘n cheese, but the strategically planned ingredients make each combo a different flavorful adventure. My only complaint is that they could make the dishes cheesier.
COME HUNGRY…. DIVE INTO A CHEESY SKILLET
