Ashley & Michelle
Old school pub without the stuffiness of typical fine dining in Clayton. Picture a Bostonian college bar combined with Irish pub-ness.
WHAT YOU GET:
“Not your average pub grub” says the front door as you walk in. It’s true it is not average! They take the typical bar menu and step it up a notch with gourmet pizzazz. See couscous below!
Beef Tenderloin Sandwich – with caramelized onions and horseradish sauce on a toasted roll with Mediterranean Couscous
Fabulous – A nice bed of tender and juicy meat paired with caramely onions and a tasty sauce = totally yummy in my book. This was a really tasty sandwich and that made me happy. The couscous was okay but I wouldn’t pair it with this sandwich again.
Amazing! Tender meat with flavorful onions on a perfect bun. The sauce could have used a little more spice and the couscous was “a middle of the road” for me.
Maryland Crab Burger – Crab patty, grilled and topped with chile lime mayo with Sweet and Spicy Cucumber Salad
Fabulous – as my personal “usual” I think this could have used a bit more sauce. The patty itself was great. Can’t really go wrong here. The salad was strange. It was one of those where you eat a bite and are like “nah, I don’t like that” then like 30 seconds later you go in for more and decide that you do like it. Then do the same in reverse. It has to be the sweet and spicy that tricks your mind every minute. I liked that.
Awesome. The patty itself could have been a little bit more crispy. However, I liked the size of the components in the patty, no super large chunks of things. The flavor was delightful and again a wonderful bun. I was excited about the side salad but it was way too spicy for me to enjoy.
Our friend ordered this:
Cowboy Burger w/bourbon BBQ sauce, pepper jack cheese and a fried onion ring
“holy moly that has a kick”
“wake up your mouth”
COME HUNGRY…. LEAVE STUFFED BUT NOT STUFFY
